Was the motto of the June Goalie Clinic. Don MacDonald & Sera Dogramci lead the clinic over the weekend with off-ice lessons and on-ice training.
16 goalies attended the clinic including 2 from NSW. Ages and skill ranged from complete beginner’s to seasoned goalies. All our Women’s goalies were in attendance, a high number of juniors and of course our senior male goalies.
The focus of the camp was back side recovery and angle and depth. Sunday’s drills focused on gaining the centre in 1, 2 or 3 moves with C & T push’s, shuffles and butterfly’s, all with skating skills that the goalies developed on Saturday with Sera.
The CBR Brave and Melbourne Mustangs provided shooters, goalies and coaches during the on-ice sessions on both Saturday and Sunday and we would like to thank them for their support.
Goalies have since reported jelly like legs but are still standing and are keen for the next clinic.
IHACT would like to thank Don and Sera for their efforts in providing our goalies with these opportunities to develop.
