Officials

Becoming an official is a great way to be involved in the ice hockey community. Not to mention keeping you fit, and improving your skating! No previous officiating experience is required, training and certification for Referees and Linesman is provided.

IHACT holds annual officating courses for linesman and referee's at the start of each winter season. This a one or two day course usually run over the weekend and provides officials with their annual certification.

WWVP Requirements

All officials must present a Working with Vulnerable People card (WWVP) to participate as an official with IHACT. This is a requirement set out by the Working with Vulnerable People ACT 2011 and applies to all persons who work or volunteer with vulnerable people.
